It’s time to take a look back on the past year of The Camino Provides. We saw this blog transition from “the calling” stage, during my Camino training and planning months January – April. Then “the Compostela” phase when I was on the Camino Portugués in May. Finally, “the beyond” phase after my return home and posting about my Camino. I am still processing my experience and have a lot more to write about. One thing is for sure, the Camino does provide, in unexpected ways. More on this later.
Below are a few stats from TheCaminoProvides.com for 2016. I welcome your suggestions for what you would like to see more of in 2017 in the poll below.

Fellow WordPress bloggers, if you were wondering why you didn’t get an email to generate your blog’s annual report, WordPress.com wasn’t able to prepare 2016 annual reports like they did in 2015. Apparently, the stats helper monkeys were too overwhelmed with data and the increase of customers! Fortunately, there are stats available in the dashboard, so I was able to cobble together some highlights from 2016. See the forum topic for more details. Hopefully WordPress.com will get it together next year!
I was wondering what had happened to the annual reports! The curse of 2016 continues! :O Here’s to another great year of your awesome blog.

Hey, Laurie, not quite on today’s topic, but I signed up for the course in Lafayette (CA) that you mentioned–the “North of Spain” with Alex Saragoza. Thanks for telling me that there was a discount for Cal Alumni, etc.

Hi Susan, Ah, yes, from the Jan. events post, https://thecaminoprovides.com/2017/01/06/camino-and-hiking-events-in-january-2017/
I’m glad you signed up for the class. I wish I could attend it too. If you’d like to share what you learn in the class, perhaps you can write a guest post about it. I see that the professor is taking a group to Spain this summer. The tour is a little pricey though, especially for pilgrim standards!

Since I am writing about that part of Spain (the North), I like to know what I am talking about 🙂
I haven’t checked his prices for a tour, but we are doing another route anyway (start of Vezelay). I’ll try to let you know how the class goes.
