Hooray! We are in full Camino season again so I’ll be adding to my list of favorite Camino blogs on Fridays. Clare from British Columbia, Canada, recently finished part of the Via de la Plata route and blogged about it at Seeing Clarely. She has completed a few Caminos and has a nice take on post-Camino observations. I appreciate her detailed packing list, as I’m currently figuring out what I’ll bring on my Camino next month!
Clare’s post about Nerja caught my eye and brought me back to 2007 when my husband and I did week-long Spanish program there before traveling in Spain for three weeks. Below is a photo of the stunningly beautiful Cuevas de Nerja from Clare’s post Nerja, unplanned.

If you’re a fan of Flamenco and caves, you’ll love the video of Flamenco IN the caves that Camino blogger Trepidatious traveller shared in the comments at the end of the post. It’s very cool that the Camino brought these two bloggers together! I admire these women who are retired, or semi-retired, and love to hike and share their explorations with the world via their blogs. Check out more of Clare’s Camino posts and follow her blog at https://tritetales.com.
I’m excited about my upcoming Camino Portugues, but Andalucia will always have a special place in my heart. I will most likely end up meeting my husband somewhere down south after one of my future Caminos for some sunshine, sherry and relaxation.
See more Favorite Camino Blogs and let me know if you have any suggestions. Also see Favorite places in Spain, so far and let me know what I should visit on my next trip.
Buen Camino!
And when you next visit Andalusia be sure to take a trip to Malaga. It is such an up and coming city, being talked about in many travel articles. And of course let me know when you are there so that we can meet up.

Hi Maggie, Málaga is one of my favorite places in Spain! We stayed there 3 nights before our week in Nerja. We loved the Picasso museum, market, Calle Larios, bodega el Pimpi and the Alcazaba. When we go again, it would be nice to meet you in person. 🙂
