Hi all,
I was recently interviewed by the singing pilgrim from Down Under, Dan Mullins, for his podcast series, My Camino. We talk about mindfulness, keeping the Camino spirit alive, the calling, and much more. I share some challenges and joys of walking the Camino solo, including a story of hitchhiking on the Camino Invierno, and how I had to “cowgirl up!” for those long stages. Click to listen to the interview.
In the interview, I also announce a new Camino here at home in the Bay Area. I’m calling it “Camino de la Cresta” but it is known as the Bay Area Ridge Trail. So far, there are 390 miles of trail, and new sections are being forged for a total of 550 miles that will eventually circle the greater Bay Area.

My birthday fundraising goal is $550 for the 550 miles of the Bay Area Ridge Trail when it is completed. Donations will help with “breaking trail” to complete the missing links to connect with more trails to circle the greater Bay Area. This is a worthy cause for the environment and people of the Bay Area. I have already walked bits of the trail and intend to walk all of it. I will be a “boots on the ground” reporter on trail progress and document my journey through photos and tracked hikes. I am supporting this nonprofit throughout 2021 and will share highlights of the sections I hike. Every little bit will help me reach my goal. This is my Camino for 2021. Thanks for your support.
